I’ve been an Oh My Cream customer for a very long time — I came across you by chance while out walking in December 2012. The display of Dermalogica products caught my eye. I’d discovered them 18 months earlier during a thalassotherapy stay and fallen in love with them! At first, there were so many names and rituals that seemed very complicated, but after three or four months I was completely devoted to them. I struggled to find them in Paris because they were no longer sold in department stores, and I didn’t like buying online. Then I met Juliette and Marion, who opened the Tournon store themselves, and we’ve been together ever since!

At first, I was completely resistant to hearing about any brand other than Dermalogica, but little by little I came round more easily than I’d expected. Through chats with friends, I’ve managed to introduce a few of them to Oh My Cream.

For me, professional facials are essential! As you get older, it’s better to buy an affordable cream but have extremely regular professional treatments using more concentrated products.

Beyond the selection of brands at Oh My Cream, I like the understated feel of the stores and how helpful the advice is!

Dermalogica products introduced me to double cleansing! I used to use only their products: PreCleanse, followed by Special Cleansing Gel or UltraCalming Cleanser, because my skin is quite reactive and sensitive. Then I use UltraCalming Mist and Daily Microfoliant from time to time. The essentials are oil to remove makeup, followed by a balm or emulsion, then a toner. I moved from Dermalogica to Tata Harper, and this autumn I discovered your Oh My Cream Skincare products. I have to admit I really like them. I was also very touched when you invited me and three other customers to preview products being tested and developed. I really like their practical formats and how easy they are to use.

When I remember, I use either Stress Positive Eyelift by Dermalogica or Illuminating Eye Treatment by Tata Harper around my eyes. I tend to save the latter for the morning because it has a shimmery, illuminating effect. Then, during the winter months, for those over 50, I recommend the PowerBright range: either Pure Night or Super Rich Repair. I’m also very fond of the Susanne Kaufmann range; I discovered Cold Cream Intensive last year when the weather turned cold. My discovery this year, thanks to Lisa’s advice, is The Ointment by Hervé Hérau — it’s simply wonderful! In the evening, I also use either a drop of Plumping Oil by Oh My Cream Skincare or Overnight Repair Serum by Dermalogica.  

Because I take my time in the evening, my morning routine is always quicker. Sometimes I just cleanse with Cleansing Emulsion by Oh My Cream Skincare or UltraCalming Cleanser by Dermalogica. On mornings when I have a little more time — at least three or four times a week — I use either Exfoliating Powder by Oh My Cream Skincare or Daily Microfoliant by Dermalogica.  

Next, I use UltraCalming Mist by Dermalogica. It didn’t feel like a natural step for me at first, but now I can’t do without it. Then I apply the new Barrier Defense Booster by Dermalogica, which is also an oil and absorbs very quickly. After that, I use a light cream: either Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 by Dermalogica, with its sun protection, or Extra Rich cream by Hervé Hérau.

Her favourite masks

For masks, I use ones that don’t need rinsing off and can be applied in a thick layer, such as Moisturizing Mask by Tata Harper or Evercalm Ultra-Comforting Soothing Mask by Ren Skincare.

When it comes to makeup, the older I’ve got, the lighter I’ve gone, especially with textures, so it looks less pronounced. I really like Nars products, and a young woman there gave me invaluable advice, just as you do. I also love RMS Beauty for all its lightweight products that can double as blusher and lipstick. I’ve also discovered the new Kjaer Weis range, and I particularly like the Cream Bronzer, which works as both eyeshadow and blusher. I’m not a big fan of heavy eye makeup, but I love products I can apply with my fingers.

Something new I’ve learnt since discovering these brands, including Oh My Cream Skincare later on, is to use balms such as PreCleanse by Dermalogica or Cleansing Balm by Oh My Cream Skincare. Then there are facial mists. At first, I didn’t think they were useful: they felt lovely during a treatment, but I couldn’t see the point. Now I’m hooked!

- Hydra-Mist Citron & Amino-Peptide by Grown Alchemist , which I apply before makeup. I love how it helps me blend in my BB cream or lightweight tinted moisturiser so it looks less mask-like.
- The Illuminating Eye Treatment by Tata Harper , which does two jobs at once and has a lovely illuminating effect.
